Usagi, I wouldn’t mind hearing your thoughts on whether my clarified explanation on why I voted who I did checks out.
I think it’s interesting no one has suggested some of the suspects could be scapegoats and witches are intentionally misleading us to be firm in our decisions. Fell for that with the AMF vote. I think the Blackrune vote is perhaps a tip off to that strategy. What do you guys think?
Just saying, but I like how you point out you have no reason to vote for AMF…
What’s up with that?
And @wonderlander @midsummer I guess I’m not one to be simply swayed away with words sadly… but it’s not like I have enough of something to go specifically after either of you. I guess put it in the category of “things I will remember” later on.
… of course I can’t entirely rule out that Rabla is actually a witch.
This is true. Perhaps I’m muddying up the evidence. I think the scapegoat suspicion would be more obvious in late game because of a noticeable pattern. Possibly too early to tell.
more useful in late game**
I counted every vote that happened the previous day ever, not just those that were active at the end. Early on, Wonderlander voted for AMF because he didn’t talk at all yet, that’s why he’s counted there and then striked through in the second list.
@UsagiTenpura What are you talking about?
This was my reasoning, and that didn’t change. In the end I was wrong, regrettably.
As long as the human side is suspecting humans, you can count on witches loving it and fanning the flames whenever they can do so safely. So, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Usagi’s thoughts about someone who voted for Rabla and someone who voted for AMF being a witch. Though I wouldn’t go so far as to say I am certain of it.
Anyhow, regarding the whole “Blackrune was killed because he suspected Rabla” or “Blackrune was killed because it’ll make it seem like the witches were defending Rabla”, I think it kinda falls flat because he was apparently following my lead in the whole voting for Rabla thing. He wasn’t really much of a threat to him in the first place.
Wouldn’t be too surprised if Usagi’s thoughts about a witch voting for Rabla and AMF turned out true, I mean.
That’s what I get for losing track of my thoughts mid-sentence.
Well you didn’t cross out your own name, just saying…
Freudian slip? ahaha…
Unless I misread that list’s intent, sorry, I’m working and kinda multitasking so Im a bit all over the place.
This is why I retracted my vote and didn’t vote for anyone
Oh yeah, I didn’t cross out my name because the only basis for crossing my name out would be “I’m human, yo”.
We also have to realize something. An active witch would eventually try to control the narrative and if that’s happening, then I have to suspect between @UsagiTenpura and @midsummer as obvious but very possible witches, only because their activeness is giving us humans a sense of hesitation of lynching them. I don’t think they are only because I don’t want to be completely sure of my thought process, but its a thought nonetheless
Honestly I don’t understand why some think that voting for Blackrune was suspicious. It was just Antra’s suggestion to get someone talking, I mean do you really think I would expect someone to get lynched in the first hours and vote for Blackrune? As soon as Blackrune spoke I took my vote away because why keep it on him since he already spoken.
Considering all I’m really saying is that witches are killing human … which is kinda the rule of the game, if this is accurate it’s more sad than anything in my defence.
I’ll have to read the thread more slowly when at home to realize wether that is accurate or not and give you a better answer there, I’m kinda just glimpsing things right now.
The problem with that is that pretty much any position in the sliding scale of active-inactive can be argued as a good spot for a witch to be in for some reason. But that’s definitely something to keep in mind. I’d expect witches usually like diversifying, so among the more active players, there’s probably at least one witch. The five players with the most posts are you, Usagi, Antra, me and lobotomyprince. That’s something to keep in mind for future reference, perhaps.
Anyhow, since I mentioned I will be pretty busy for most of Day 2, I’m perfectly happy leaving the position of discussion leader to someone else. And even if I wasn’t busy, I think it’d be a good idea to shift the spotlight around every now and then. So, I look forward to seeing who will step up to the occasion.
These early day starts are going to kill me, why Karifean.
It’s been touched on already but Blackrune is such an odd choice. In a game like this, there’s no reason to worry about the potential secret someone could have and target people nit at the forefront of attention. If I was a Witch in this match I’d want to use the first two nights to kill @midsummer and @UsagiTenpura, the ones leading the discussion rather well. Their deaths would throw all the quiet unconfident players into disarray.
So do the Witches have some sort of agenda, or are they stupid, or are our conversation leaders among them?
Hell the post right above mine just reminded me midsummer pre-announced his absence, so a smart Witch really should have shot Usagi.
There’s also the possibility that the witch side knows me and Usagi have been dead wrong in whatever direction we’ve taken the conversation, and they’re banking on us netting them free kills and then getting lynched because we caused too many human deaths.
Anyhow, heading off to bed for now. Hopefully people come up with something good tomorrow.
I wasn’t lying when I said I haven’t played in a while or often, if that’s what you mean. The last time I played, it was on EpicMafia and even worse than that a homestuck role play. I’m sure you may be able to guess how long that was ago. At least 2-3 years.
Anyway, personal history aside. You’re right, those stories can’t be verified.
I’ve probably been shooting myself in the foot for trying to seem confident, all things considered. Turns out, my ego got stroked. I probably shouldn’t be talking that much, given lack of experience, but I’m sick at home and I really don’t have much else going on. In hindsight, I probably should have clammed up. I feel like I’m only causing confusion. That’s a really brilliant witch tactic. I might take a step back and observe. Don’t hesitate to approach me. I’m not running away.
It would be pretty sly of me if I joined the forum and pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes. Heh. I guess if you already suspect me, my crap shot novice ruse would be pretty useless.
indeed it would be useless. Even if you are a witch, I’m inclined to believe you, only because you’re pretty insightful on suggestions. I like that indeed! As of now, it’s 11 vs 3 and we’re confused. I’m keening between Sorceress and Wonderlander as of now. Not enough to vote. Wonderlander due to how he voted and Sorceress because she’s a really good actress and because of that, I can’t really trust you, ever
