I have the ability to find out if a player does something or not.
I lose this ability upon meeting one of the following conditions:
- I use it twice
- I claim to have it (lost the next day, is still “valid” and can’t be refuted the day I do it)
- I claim any other abilities twice
Furthermore this ability is transferred to another player of any alignment when I lose it.
Oh, and what do we do about Antra’s claim? On one hand, we could use that ability really well, and witches will obviously want to get rid of it and want no such ability. Dunno if they will take the risk of refutation.
On another hand, humans won’t want to refute it either since it is a very useful ability and claiming such an ability is the perfect witch move as well so…
Not really. With this, you could find out if EternalMagician spoke the truth yesterday and today. And I wonder about Antra as well. He’s currently in the circle of people I’m still very unsure of.
Actually yeah, this is something we should talk about. @Blackrune, @Antra, @midsummer, @thesorceress, @EternalMagician, @Wonderlander, @Rabla, @Kluck, @MAFIA_Battler who do you currently suspect to be a witch, who are you pretty sure of being a human?
Regarding our list of five murder suspects…
@thesorceress: Vyse claimed she’s human. Yet, Vyse himself seemed kinda uncertain about it, what with having her state her affiliation first before confirming it. Could it be there’s something about Vyse’s ability that he is yet to share that would make him not certain whether his investigation yielded true results or not?
Additionally, she claims an innate that sounds pretty odd. If she’s speaking the truth, she can’t be our murderer, but I’m not sure if I trust her. The ability she described sounds really vague and weird… yet she claims she hasn’t asked for clarification? That would be the first thing I’d do if I had an ability that was that difficult to understand.
I’d like to trust Vyse’s investigation… but I’m not sure. I’m still somewhat suspicious of @thesorceress.
Speaking of @VyseGolbez… He’s certainly been very active in discussing and theorizing. What he has said so far has seemed entirely reasonable to me. He hasn’t been making any poorly thought out accusations or such. @Blackrune says he used an ability called Logic Dive, which Vyse said is an investigation ability. Sure sounds like it.
I’m a bit bothered about how he used it, though. What advantage was there in trying to make @thesorceress claim her alignment herself? If she’s a human, of course she’d claim human. If she was a witch, of course she’d claim human. It makes me wonder if Vyse was actually bluffing… it could be he didn’t actually know @thesorceress’ alignment and wanted to pretend he has an investigation ability by trying to make her claim her alignment by herself and then being all “yeah, totally knew that”. However, this seems like a pretty poor plan, since @thesorceress could and did refuse to play ball, and thus if Vyse really was bluffing, forced Vyse to simply make a guess. And if Vyse was a witch, he would’ve known whether she’s a witch anyway. So the only reason to bluff would be if Vyse was actually a human?
Yeah, seems pretty unlikely. I guess it could be that @VyseGolbez and @Blackrune are both witches who are trying to play nice and seem like proper humans, but I’m inclined to trust them for now.
…so that I don’t create a massive wall of text detailing my views on every single participant in a single titanic post, I’ll stop here and share my thoughts on other people later.
OH BY THE WAY this time for real. Blue Claims must be made at least three hours before the day phase ends. Any claims made after that will be ignored.
Obviously this also means no pressing after that point. Hell I might make an exception if some terrible person decides to press someone just before the three hours left mark. Just… keep sportsmanship in mind, kay?
I’m also kind of unsure about Antra, honestly. The ability specifying two people is a bit much this early. If we assume the usual three-witch match is in play, Antra could protect both of his witch buddies in one move.
I’d be more willing to let him keep it if it was one person.
@Antra, who do you intend to protect with this?

@MAFIA_Battler is someone who I can’t really get a good read of. He seems to be constantly on the move, doing this and that, and occasionally doing things that look like something but are actually nothing. Vyse did point out that he has taken a couple of actions that would’ve been pretty suicidal for the witch side… so I guess there’s that. He’s not on the top of my witch list, at any rate.
Speaking of “top of my witch list”, @Antra. Out of the five prime suspects for murderous shenanigans last night, he seems like the most suspicious individual to me. I don’t believe anyone has said a word in defense in his favour, not even @Antra himself. I don’t recall him participating in a lot of analysis - the most notable contribution of his seems to be pressing @Kluck… who he apparently picked by random. On top of that, now he’s claiming a powerful ability that would be extremely useful for the human side. A human trying to help or a witch trying to gain access to Magic of Belief?
It isn’t like he has done anything particularly suspicious… but the rest of us five seem to have more points in our favour, be it testimony or positive contribution for the human side.
And then there’s that @midsummer guy. He seems to be in a fairly similar boat as Vyse - he’s participated in discussion a fair amount, though not as much as Vyse, but unlike Vyse, he doesn’t have a Blackrune to support him.
In all seriousness, if anyone tracked me last night, or did something similar, please speak up. I’d like it if someone could confirm that I didn’t make a move last night.

So, on that note, @Antra, what can you do? @VyseGolbez and I both coughed up our info, I’m sure you can too. You said your power was labeled right?
I have asked for clarification on other points on my power (I can only use it once and I won’t be notified if it works or if it doesn’t, or if I’m roleblocked. I just haven’t asked about what “modified” meant, because I assumed it referred to blue truth.) Honestly, it seems like a pretty weird power to me as well. I’m hoping I have some sort of locked ability that comes up later, though I haven’t gotten one yet.
Regarding trust, I’m inclined to trust Vyse, if only because he vouched for me. As for who I most don’t trust, I’m going to hold back for a second in interest of asking, why haven’t we all introduced ourselves? Is there something I’m missing? None of us have said our characters names.

Regarding who I trust the least right now, I suppose those would be @Antra and @Wonderlander. Wonderlander, because I still feel it’s unlikely there were two innate ability kills last night, and Wonderlander did have an opportunity to use Magic of Belief, even though things conveniently fell into place in a way that made it seem impossible at first glance. It just feels like a witch side trick to me.
The people I trust the most right now… I’m having a hard time trusting anyone too much, but I suppose that @VyseGolbez seems pretty trustworthy for now. If he’s actually a witch, he sure has done a fine job at gaining everyone’s trust.
