Presenting the Higurashi Himatsubushi Tea Party! Get involved and win prizes!

The Higurashi Tea Party is back in action! From the 8th of May to the 21th (assuming no delays) we’ll be running the Higurashi Himatsubushi Tea Party! What is the Higurashi Tea Party, you ask? Our Tea Parties are Rokkenjima’s biggest event, and see us rally Higurashi fans from all across the internet to join together on the forum to read through, analyse and celebrate the chapter in question together. It’s the perfect chance for new readers to get involved and share their speculations with other new readers, but also for old readers to take a look back and consider what makes Himatsubushi a great chapter. On the forum we’ll have two topics: one for newcomers to discuss without fear of spoilers, and one for veterans to speak freely about the chapter. We’ll also be encouraging our more creative members to contribute to the Tea Party with fanworks of Himatsubushi in our Higurashi Fanart topic, and other appropriate topics. At the conclusion of the Tea Party we’ll be recording a spoiler-free discussion incorporating all of the discussion and showcasing the fanworks, providing the participants a platform to voice their theories on the mysteries of Hinamizawa. If you’re new to Higurashi and want to be a part of our podcast, we’d love to try you out! Just hop on over to our Podcast Applications Topic and express your interest! If you’d like to get a feel for our previous Tea Parties before diving in, you can find all our Higurashi Tea Parties Here, and all our Umineko Tea Parties Here. Definitely worth a listen on those long train trips home. To incentivise contributions to the Tea Party, we’ll be offering two prizes at the conclusion of the Tea Party: one to our best discussion participant, and one to our best fanwork creator! The best discussion will be rewarded with a free copy of Meakashi, and the best creator will be rewarded with a copy of the Miracles 07th Expansion Fanzine! (Prizes are flexible) But before we get started, we’re hosting a quick giveaway! For the next 34 hours until 7am UTC on the 8th when the Tea Party officially commences, we’re giving away free copies of the winner’s choice of Himatsubushi or Meakashi! To enter, just reply to this topic linking to either your Tweet, Facebook or Tumblr post linking to this article! Alternatively, you can retweet [This Tweet], linking to your Twitter account in your post below so we can verify that you have in fact retweeted it. The more entries we get, the more prizes we’ll throw in! If we can 15 entries we’ll throw in a second prize, and we’ll work from there! The end of the question arcs is upon us. Let’s close in on the mysteries of Hinamizawa, and work to make this the greatest celebration of Himatsubushi in the English-speaking world!

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at

Ah Himatsubushi. Let’s see how well you hold up on a reread~

This should be a good chance for me to get back into Higurashi, even though I haven’t finished Tatarigoroshi yet. I’ll have some free time next week to catch up, so I look forward to the Tea Party! :joyful:
