No, there’s no role that could make a player mistake someone for someone else. It could have been a variant of the Redirecter, but by the rules as worded in the pastebin document and also by what happened to Rest I think we’ve firmly established that Redirection doesn’t work like that, the target is well-aware it was redirected and does not mistake the person they actually see for the person they originally targeted. If there is such an ability, it had no indicators so far, so the possibility can be safely discarded IMO.
