That would be a very potent Witch tactic though. Taking something seemingly harmless and trying to get away with it so you get Magic of Belief.
So⦠Iāll do this I guess.
Rabla, thatās a lie!
Just to be safe, nothing personal.
Thatās fine. Iāll have to do somethin about my rough start tomorrow.
Besides, the information you were trying to get can still be gotten by asking a bit and you telling what series you think our pieces come from.
Oh yes, thatās the fun part.
Iām willing to bet everyoneās character is on this list.
Would fit from my end. Did you manage to become an idol?
Haha, unfortunately not. I wish the best of whoever is though.
Iām willing to bet thereās absolutely no correlation between character and innate ability though. Iām fairly certain our host has no idea who 70% of them are.
I think you underestimate him a little bit, Iād say itās more like 50%. But your point stands.
So, things have happened, and we have two blues still standing, @EternalMagicianās tracking ability and @Wonderlanderās lookout ability. Neither are amazingly powerful abilities, but as abilities that provide information about other players, they can be extremely useful since right now we know basically nothing about anything.
ā¦Naturally, as āunassuming but kinda sorta exactly what the human side wantsā -type abilities, they are the most likely to get through, and thus the best bet for a witch to falsely claim, hoping to gain access to Magic of Belief. Iāve already Pressed, so I canāt Refute this day, so itās up to all of you whether or not the abilities go through.
If no additional blue claims are made, those two blues going through means that even if one of them uses Magic of Belief to kill someone, we have only two suspects. That isnāt too bad of an outcome⦠but we should consider the worst case scenario where the witch side has an innate, or locked, elimination ability. They could make it seem as though one of the two used Magic of Belief to kill someone.
ā¦Or one of the two could actually use Magic of Belief to kill someone and explain it away with claiming that a witch mustāve used some secret ability to kill someone, and theyāre totally innocent. Itās a tricky situation.
Additionally, does anyone else feel like coming up with the idea that all pieces come from a list posted weeks ago on an April Fools joke, based on the identity of a single piece (their own), is a bit of a stretch? When I got my role PM, I was like āsweet, a detective character from a piece of fiction I knowā. Of course, me not thinking about it is hardly proof that nobody couldāve, but unless @Rabla has some really obscure character, this makes me wonder if he actually knows the identities of a couple of other pieces as well. Say, maybe finding them out through a team chat of some kind.
Youāre raising a good point. @Rabla, you got some explaining to do. Telling your identity shouldnāt be dangerous, going by your own logic, after all.
Sure, thatās fine. Iām Hildibrand, the great detective of Final Fantasy XIV. Fitting, I know.
Out of the probable characters on that list that our host would know, this definitely wasnāt one of them. Weāve talked to Kari about the game before, sure, but weāve never brought up the semi-obscure side-quest storyline that he originates from.
The only reason I could imagine Hildibrand showing up here was because of my joke list of detectives.
That would be a suitably obscure character, yesā¦
ā¦but Iād like it if someone could confirm that he actually is Hildibrand.
Also, it occurs to me that nightfall should come in about two hours or so?
Those who want to still make a move today should probably hurry up.
tfw you forget to set an early deadline for claims⦠well Iāll at least reserve the last 15 minutes of the day for refutations just so reacting is at least possible for sure. By all rights the time limit for claiming should already be up.
I want to make a claim
I can learn the alighment of a player I target during the night
Feel free to refute that if you want
You can suggest whom I should target if you let this go through
There isnāt really too much info to work with. I suppose the only person who has come across any kind of suspicion so far is @Rabla, with him having some ability heās unwilling to share and coming up with the name thing with very little information, but his explanation for the name thing completely checks out as long as we can trust that he speaks the truth.
Do you have any favourites in mind youād like to investigate?
Now that I think about it, I suppose someone raised some concerns about @Wonderlander, too.
Well this isnāt even a valid blue claim, so there shouldnāt even be any need to refute it. As much as Iād like the investigate, itās sadly against the rules. (If youāre wondering which part of the rules Iām referring to, this part:
