Rokkenjima Secret Oyashiro I [Finished - Progressive Victory]

The vote has concluded! Here are the results:

With 2 votes for and 6 against, the vote fails!

Current game status

Radical policies played: 4
Progressive policies played: 4!
Next presidential privilege unlocked by radical policy: Onikakushi (also VETO is unlocked)
Previous government: Necem and Aspirety
Remaining policies in stock: 3
Failed Votes in a row: 1/3
Killed by Onikakushi: Yerian
If Oyashiro is elected chancellor, the radicals win.

Election Phase

@EisenKoubu, you are the current presidential candidate, please nominate a chancellor. Do note that Necem and Aspirety cannot be nominated as chancellor since they were part of the previous government. Feel free to take your time and discuss the results of the previous government phase with your fellow council members, but once youā€™ve made up your mind regarding a chancellor, please state their name in bold. We will then start the voting.

Darn, I was banking on getting Aspirety as my chancellorā€¦ ._.

Heh. You actually have the power to do so. If you want aspi and by coincidence you believe that aspi is a progressive and will help you, even if the vote fails, it will be his turn next. At that point, he has absolute authority because anyone voting against him must be radical because they will be basically be voting for the draw to come from rng and not a real choice. No one can be shown to want that. Good luck with your decision. If you have absolute trust in aspi, do what you wish.

Oops my bad bahaha I didnā€™t read that correctly

Wait if eisenā€™s vote gets denied they does credential power skip over aspi because he was a member of the last government?

Well @EisenKoubu , itā€™s all up to you now. I havenā€™t trusted you for a while but if you can suggest someone you will believe can finally win this, and give a convincing reason for us to vote him, then Iā€™ll gladly give you my yes vote.

Wow, now it feels like actual politics!

I believe it doesnā€™t, but he still cannot choose necem as the chancellor.

I think cj is the best choice. Thereā€™s been a growing divide in this game, and two alternative factions have kinda formed. Hereā€™s how I see it.

Rabla & Pepe have always supported each other. Letā€™s call them A team.

Necem & Sapphire have always supported each other. Letā€™s call them B team.

Yerian was an extremist.

Myself aside, that leaves CJ and Dabackpack unaccounted for. Adding myself and EisenKoubu, one of us must be an extremist. We also know that EisenKoubu is on the opposite side as Rabla. And I canā€™t put it to words yet, but I canā€™t shake the feeling that DaBackpack is on the A team.

That leaves cj as the wildcard here. Personally, I donā€™t think heā€™s done much suspicious this game, so Iā€™m inclined to think heā€™s the best choice for chancellor here. If you nominate him Iā€™ll probably vote yes.

Well, at this point, I think victory for the progressives is just a matter of time.

Very well, then. I will choose @cjlim2007 as my chancellor.

Thereā€™s only three policies left in stock, so assuming thereā€™s enough in the deck for either side to win once around, I think Iā€™m guaranteed at least one progressive policy. All that would matter in that case is if, in trusting CJ, he will be able to bring about a progressive victory or not. I am once again banking on my chancellorā€™s actions, but hopefully this will yield a better result than my last presidency did.

For the lolis of Hinamizawa~ :grinning:

Voting Phase

@EisenKoubu@Aspirety@Rabla@Pepe@DaBackpack@cjlim2007@Sapphire@Necem

Since our presidential candidate has chosen a chancellor, itā€™s time for everyone to vote.

President: EisenKoubu
Chancellor: cjlim2007

Do you trust these two to represent you and the entire village of Hinamizawa and enact a policy on your behalf? Please PM your votes directly to me.

Edit: @cjlim2007, no Aspirety would not be skipped, if that was the case then Necem wouldā€™ve also been skipped. The last government members may not be nominated as chancellor, but thereā€™s no problem with them being presidential candidates.

That was awfully quick. Well, Iā€™ll leave it to you guys to reach a decision on your own. Iā€™ll be voting YES.

I was hoping Eisen could provide his own reasoning for his choice as chancellor, but the way it has turned out, it seems like heā€™s just following through with what Aspirety has suggestedā€¦ Such a neutral stance to be taking at such a late point in the game, added in to my own distrust for him since way back makes me consider voting NO again on this round.

Again, there is likely only one progressive policy in the deck (assuming it hasnā€™t been already discarded in the previous rounds), and such a neutral stance from Eisen kind of implies that he could easily push the game in the direction he wantsā€¦ by discarding the single progressive policy. If there were more policies, then cj would have the chance to save the voting, but at this point, the president seems to have just as much power as the chancellor.

Do you trust Aspi more than Eisen though? because if not then you might as well vote yes

I trust aspi more than eisen, yes. But by following aspiā€™s advice while still keeping control, eisen will be left with an excuse for his choice, and can use that to confuse is even further

The vote has concluded! Here are the results:

With 5 votes for and 3 against, the vote goes through!

With that I can make a proclamation: cjlim2007 is not Oyashiro. The game continues.

Government Phase

Our new government has once again the obligation of leading Hinamizawa. Let us pray that their choice is in the best interest of the entire village.

EisenKoubu and cjlim2007, you two may not post in this topic until the government phase has concluded.

Ahaha.wav I mean what

@Yerian@EisenKoubu@Aspirety@Rabla@Pepe@DaBackpack@cjlim2007@Sapphire@Necem

Gather round, members of the council! The government has made their choice, a new policy has been enacted!

"The limitations of loli truth in public courts of law have been relaxed; Lolis and lolicons alike are now free to use said truth without restriction. Lolis are no longer obligated to speak this truth in a court of law, but are still encouraged to speak it in accordance to the human law of telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This truth may be held to the same standard and level of trust as the Red, and like the Red, this truth may not be used outside of court, save with the village leaderā€™s permission.

Also, future policies require acceptance by the majority of council members even after the president and chancellor decide to enact them."

As soon as it was proclaimed, three council members turned pale. Two grit their teeth while the final one stood up, bowed, turned heel and left the room. The other two soon followed. It seems they are retiring from the council, their plans foiled.

The progressives win!
