Would you be willing to pick @UsagiTenpura as your chancellor? If I made you special president, this is what you will do?
@Restkastel I know thatās still a possibility. Itās just that in that case I have to believe that Usagi is crafty enough to keep insisting their decision was the right one and even bring it up again (unprompted) and say that it should be the meta in such situations. To be like this over a decision you were forced to make would be quite a bit of acting.
Always possible, of course. Itās hard to really feel at ease with any pick there. And the more people suggest it, the more Iād be suspicious of it.
@thesorceress I donāt think I can 100% commit to that. I said itās my favorite right now, but I obviously wouldnāt pick it instantly before even listening to people. Iām not sure how much to trust you in the first place. if you now want to make a deal like that, I become suspicious that youāre trying to trick me into it. I guess you could always vote me down if I pick someone else and you donāt like it. Itās quite the responsibility, Iād probably be more at ease if I was picked as chancellor in that situationā¦ but then again, suggesting that will probably just make me look fishy.
Because, @Blackrune, if you say yes and agree to that, I think I know what Iām going to do.
There are only really three possibilities I see coming up.
-
We get two progressive policies, or we get one progressive policy and you pick it. We win. Yay!
-
We get three OTK policies. Life is terrible. Special candidacy stuff happens.
-
We get one progressive policy and you donāt pick it. I know you and @Restkastel are OTKs and I was very dumb.
If the second circumstance occurs, Iām going to make you special president. If you agree to the above, youāll make @UsagiTenpura chancellor and, if everyone agrees to this strategy, weāll vote yes to this circumstance. If you have someone else you would rather make chancellor, please let me know now, but you have to agree to this before then I think this will work out if we establish who will be chancellor before special candidacy occurs. If you āchange your mindā and try and appoint @Restkastel or @PocketyHat or @akafa123 or someone else, weāll vote it down. I hope everyone is willing to agree to this.
If the third option happens, Iāll curse the heavens and make @UsagiTenpura president.
So, unless something really bad happens, like you pick a radical policy over a progressive one. Iām going to make @Blackrune chancellor and then special president.
I just saw your post sorry Iāve been trying for a while. I need you to be able to declare a chancellor beforehand. Because, if youāre a OTK somehow, then youād be pretty easy to just pretend to change your mind and make whoever is Oyashiro chancellor. Maybe that only makes sense to me though.
I think Iām going to make you my chancellor either way.
Is there anything that Iāve said thatās wrong? Or that doesnāt make sense to people other than me? Let me know.
Iāll just say for now that my main issue is that I canāt rule out the possibility of a conflict arising between thesorceress and Blackrune, which would drag down Restkastel in the matterā¦
Iād be terribly loss at what to do if this was to occur.
Taking a bet among the three of you vs choosing someone else, basicallyā¦ yeah I donāt really like even considering this scenario but I canāt rule it out occurring so it makes it insanely hard to speak up. Again, give me a bit more timeā¦ sorry about this.
Thereās also the case where if everyone votes for thesorceress and Blackrune, well, that would kinda look terribly fishy if an OTK policy would then passā¦ so Iād be back at being at a lossā¦
Iām kinda under the impression that the OTK may be losing so hard that they just want the game to end, considering what occurred with me and pocketyhat. So itās possible theyāre by now just enjoying us going insane overthinking all of this and doubting each other hehā¦
Iām going to try and explain why Iām being weird about the chancellor thing? Because if we keep it completely open and you are a OTK then itād be pretty easy to appoint someone shady. Which people would probably voted down but Iām really in a win-in-two-turns-or-less kind of mood and would really like trustworthy people in positions of power next turn, assuming things donāt go great this turn and we get easy victory.
I am inclinded to trust you though. I think weāll win unless we get three OTKs. Anyone have objections to me making @Blackrune my chancellor? Or problems with my plan above?
I believe itās actually most likely the best plan as youāve put it down, but that may make me sound suspicious for even saying it.
I definitively have no objection to @Blackrune as chancellor in the way youāve put it, and all I can really hope at this point is that we win this turn.
One reason why Iām actually prone to trust Blackrune is that the doubts he raised over Pocketyhat+meās government is one that I had myself and overall sounds like a really valid progressive reasoning. Hell I still am loss what to think about what happened in it. I was betting on pocketyhat being progressive and OTK revealing themselves by voting against it especially with the door that Blackrune opened for it. It wouldāve created most likely a failed government but weād have gained a lot of information. I also appreciate that Blackrune remains careful to the very end. If anything, that is proper progressive mentality.
thesorceressā reasoning process is also so similar to my own in this scenario that Iām prone to trust her as well. Of course, this comes down to being a bet. But if I put in doubt you twoās government enough to vote against it, I may as well doubt absolutely everything at this point and just vote no unconditionally because in the end I have no absolute information on anyone, so Iāll go with it personally.
Of course I may be sorta falling for flattery since a lot of people, including thesorceress, have voiced their trust in me. But Iāll bite. Hereās my gamble I guess.
If anything it will be interesting to see how people vote around this time.
I am okay with making Blackrune as your chancellor, but if an OTK policy gets picked, you shouldnāt make them a the special candidate. Too much power, especially in somebody I donāt trust.
Trying to spread divisiveness among the Progressives not realizing that thereās a decently high chance of them getting KKK here.
At least you tried, you rotten King bastard.
Iāll try to explain my situation concerning chancellors, btw.
Feel free to ignore this post.
-akafa and pictosharkās conflict was never resolved, and itās probably not a good time to attempt it.
-Rabla, if anything else, is far too silent to even have a reason to pick him up.
-Wonderlander may be indeed a progressive (he did pass a progressive policy in the end while being given a choice), but considering the doubts that people raised over him, it seems utterly pointless to do so as itād get downvoted and if it didnāt Iād be extremely worried to have actually chosen Oyashiro.
-Iām unable to fully trust pocketyhat, even if I really want to.
-Of course I canāt chose myself.
Iām kinda naive in a sense, for all the points I bring up.
This leaves Restkastel, Blackrune, StarTurner and thesorceress. Two of these (Blackrune and StarTurner) worked together to enact progressive policies. Iāll admit these two are higher up in my trust due to this. Meanwhile Restkastel and thesorceress, even if itās by guts, have voiced often their belief in me.
Concerning Restkastel and Blackrune, these two are kinda tied up.
If I put any doubts in Blackrune, I by default put doubts in Restkastel. If I doubt Restkastel, I wonāt necessarily doubt Blackrune, even if itās kinda likely the two are on the same side. It follows that I should pick up Blackrune over Restkastel if I had a choice to make in the matter. I think Restkastel would agree on this.
All I can say beyond that is that these are the three options that are left for me.
- Blackrune
- StarTurner
- thesorceress
But if a conflict arises between Blackrune and thesorceress or everyone votes YES on the government, Iāll be left unable to really chose Blackrune or thesorceress. Which would make things fall on StarTurner.
And I really donāt like the feeling of being cornered into having a single choice if those situation occurs. It would feel like falling into a plot especially now that Iāve revealing my reasoning.
So yes, basically, Iām at a loss hehā¦
I think the best thing I could say at that point is that if I end up, in any situation, being presidential candidate again before this game ends, I will have to judge on information we have no yet acquired and ask people to suggest someone for me. I may still end up making a bet between the three I mentioned, while probably valuing Blackrune as preferable choice unless a conflict appears.
All I can say is that as things continue I will update my thought processes and voice them for anyone to contribute to them.
I think we need to have a bit more discussion about presidential things, but it might not come to that if all goes well this time.
I nominate @Blackrune as chancellor.
Mere moments after Karifean goes offline.
XD oh well. This hopefully final suspense will last a bit longer.
Aaaaah. I had class. I did that the moment I got out.
Welp, may as well start votingā¦

@UsagiTenpura @Blackrune @akafa123 @PictoShark @Restkastel @StarTurner @PocketyHat @thesorceress @Wonderlander @Rabla
Since our presidential candidate has chosen a chancellor, and our incompetant host has went to sleep, itās time for everyone to vote.
President: thesorceress
Chancellor: Blackrune
Do you trust these two to represent you and the entire village of Hinamizawa and enact a policy on your behalf? You have 24 more hours to get your votes in.
btw Iām voting yes, As weāre not in Oyashiro Time I reckon others should do the same.
Already stated Iām voting yes.
But will state it again.
You think I went to sleep? You should know me better than that.

33 minutes in an hour now?
No, itās called āroundingā. It may be too high of a mathematical term for you, I recommend looking it up.
I mean he does have trouble with rounding.
