Umineko Online is a project I’ve been working on for more than a year now.

It’s basically a chatroom where you can talk using Umineko and Higurashi characters.
Selecting your sprite, your background, even sound effects as you RP, solve mysteries or just relax with us talking about anything ranging from VNs to table top RPGs.

This is amazing! Since playing umineko I always thought a Roll20-like medium through which to stage Umineko gameboards would work brilliantly, and this is exactly the sort of program I’d been dreaming of… I can’t wait to try it out!

I’ve been a regular on UO for quite a number of months, (around 5 or so) almost everyone you’ll find on there is a nice, awesome person, done a bunch of user-created riddles and stuff, had plenty of fun talking to all the users on there, definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been on before!

I… Can’t figure how to unpack the download. All I get it this when trying to open the zip.

I think this isn’t the first time people complains about 7-zip not working.
Try opening it with Winrar instead.

Had to install winrar to unpack it lol. All good.

I’m really liking what I’m seeing here! This software would be perfect to host a Gameboard on some day.

Is UO open source? I wonder if we could make a fork that removes the spoiler content.

Well is there any hope such a version could be released? I figure following the Steam releases there should be demand for an Ep4 friendly version.

Maybe… Though we have other plans for UO as of now. Most spoilers come from the content and not the code itself anyway.

I have so many things I’d like to do with this community on UO, but I can’t even let them see the software.

All it would require is removing some features and maybe adding support for additional IRC Channels.

It is not very active lately since most people are around the exams period. We plan on bringing it back to life for the summer and getting newcomers would be a great help for this :wink:

It gets active when people plan events but other than that, most of the time, you’ll at least find a few people to chat with. It’s rarely completely empty.

That sounds super unique and fun? I’m really interested in the idea!! Especially for tabletop events. It would be fun to do some sleuthing hands on or even partake in a survival mode where your only goal is to escape ritual sacrifice hahahaha.
