Based on the first four episodes, what genre would you call Umineko?

A mystery perceived through a fantasy setting, I guess.

While I can’t really say which plot points exactly bring me to that conclusion, I have the feeling that Umineko is going to end up being a tragedy.

So far I’d say it’s primarily a mystery. I hesitate to call it a fantasy as much of the narrative revolves around if it is a fantasy or not.
I can;t say what I want because spoiler, but
maybe we could give it its own genre and call it a WTC genre, where mass murder, magic, and sadness are common? It’d definitely fit in the drama (not theater, ((not sure if this is a spoiler since it’s a bit well known, but ayy, Higanbana spoiler possibly)) how people in Higanabana managed to turn it into a play astounds me) genre for sure.
