He’s finally here! Let’s give him a warm welcome! I’m personally very excited to have our newest Detective join the forums at long last.
Now that you’re both here, I’d just like to thank you both for recording this fun series and uploading it for our viewing pleasure. I’ve been meaning to reread Umineko for a while now, and this playthrough of yours gives me the perfect framework to do so. As someone who is familiar with the whole story, it is interesting to hear Jokrono’s thoughts on the various fun stuff that happens, especially since his analysis and intuition can be impressively sharp at times. The banter between you two is fun, and genuinely improves the experience for me. I’d much rather watch this playthrough than reread Umineko by myself.
So, once again, thank you for making this. It’s been a delight so far, and I’m sure it will continue to impress in the future.

Even though I still have a long way to go it’s impressive to go back in the editing process and discover hidden meaning all over the place. I’m really looking forward to getting more of what we’ve recorded out there because I think it only gets better as things go on

Just a couple of days left until our next recording session! The plan is to do a post-edit recap of Episode 1, which will come out alongside the final part of Episode 1. Considering we (should) have finished episode 3 at the time, is there anything you’d like to say about our Episode 1 playthrough, or would you like a shoutout in a video? Hey guys! Next part is live now! We’re very close to the end of episode 1 and I am super excited!
We open this session with about 10 minutes of theory making, as I try to figure out what’s happening as we rush towards midnight of the second day. Skip to 10:15 if you really want to get past the theorising, but I think it’s worth a listen.
Perhaps my favourite moment of the video series thus far is 28:30. It really scared me

That scene with Maria singing was even creepier with the PS3 voices. That monotone voice along with the CG with the blood still gives me chills.

I really love that picture of Maria staring at the wall from the PS3 images. I didn’t really quite picture how intense of an “ocean of blood” they meant until I saw that one. What a vicious end

Really like the series so far, hope you guys end up going the entire series. There is just something great about watching/listening to someone who is almost completely blind to Umineko go through it for the first time.
