I’d assume truth unless someone else can give better evidence - revealing role before this is fairly good evidence.
But it’s always possible that a lie is being told. Why even ask that question? Even you and I could be lying currently.
Mind you I fully trust this until someone else comes out. By the end of this twilight if nothing comes up the only evidence that would sway me is someone’s character being revealed by a death as Alice.
Wait, why our game master @Rabla in daylight announcement message included @Wonderlander in the end? Is it the mistake or was it intentional? How could dead person enjoy his day?
Also, I may include screenshots of my role and night action if someone needs a proof of me witnessing the crime. (If it’s allowed to post screenshots here)
Well I think that’s a nod of courtesy so that way we can forget about him now. That and if I wasn’t aware that I was dead, I would be quite upset if no-one told me - and I’m sure you agree too.
@Rabla, I need confirmation that you’re not allowed to post screenshots and other means of definitive proof to the forum
As far as I know you can’t give total proof - well, that’s how it works in secret Hitler so I’m guessing we’d do the same here
Well, that and I think others quoting their characters would’ve given us screenshots if we were allowed to - hence why we can’t as if we could, it would be really hard for the witch team to win.
Posting screenshots or any sort of action that makes your private role PM public outside of your character identity is against the rules and grounds for a modkill.
The only thing you can say is your character identity.
Obviously there’s no way to prove anything. It’s a game of faith unless something can be done by players to verify his alignment and name.
My first thought when I read this was @pictoshark, because they keep setting rules in different colors, which fits the second and third line. Though, pictoshark claimed that their pawn was male, and it looks from the description that the pawn is female, unless I’ve misunderstood something or I’m wrong about the gender of the culprit or @pictoshark’s piece.
I think @Pepe is thinking the same as I am, unless I’m wrong about their thinking too. I just want to put it out there in question form in case there’s some rule that says you need a question.
I will also mention that I find the several other people who have yet to jump into the conversation a bit suspicious since they seem to not be wanting to work with us to solve this. And I think I have an idea of who he means, but I do want to look for a bit more evidence. As for who I am, well I figure perhaps I should tip my hand on this since I was a bit important here.
I was the one who was redirected, and if you choose to believe me, I was redirected when I decided to follow Pepe.
Sorry for being away for so long. Can’t say I’m a fan of daybreak happening at 5:40 AM ^^;
Well, looks like it falls on me again to properly pick this writeup apart. Not that I mind, as the results this time are quite interesting. Please point out any parts where you think I made a mistake.
Going by the girl’s mannerisms I’ll assume this to be Maria Ushiromiya. She appears to have some sort of checking ability, like a Tracker’s, and planned on targeting who I presume to be either Mion or Rena (“a girl she met who had traveled far to be here” fits with Rena’s introductory narration), however her ability instead ended up hitting an “older woman” who did not act that night. I don’t think there’s any other ability that fits the narration better than Redirection, AFAIK the only other ability that can change another person’s target it the Switcher, but at least going by last game the Switcher’s actions are much more obvious - and of course two-sided while Redirection is only one-sided.
The only real alternative I can think of is that since there was no mention of the Redirection coming from any other piece, that it might have been a stipulation on the role of Maria herself?? Like her checking ability will instead target a different person, like the target of her original target??? Which sounds really really weird, but since the last game had “get an extra vote if your partner makes rabbit puns” I wouldn’t put it past Rabla. I consider an active Redirector much more likely though.
This confident woman certainly sounds like a Protector, who targeted a “loud little lady”. Since the woman is old enough to gloat about old stories, it seems highly unlikely to be anyone of adolescent age, so this is likely a player who has not presented their identity yet. As it should be, since the Protector is, of course, a vital role, and the less information the witches have regarding their identity the better.
‘Potential aims’ very much seems to indicate the confident butler being a Detective. I can’t really think of anything else that would fit the bill, though I could be overlooking something. I’m assuming the butler is male but only due to the word ‘butler’ itself, since the narrative itself curiously never confirms their gender. Well either way, I guess the Detective at least knows someone’s alignment; whether or not the old woman here is the same as the one Maria checked, I sadly cannot gleam from this. Intuitively I’d say they’re two different old women since otherwise the narrative would’ve linked the two incidents, but who really knows how Rabla does these things.
And finally we have the actual murder and the witness. The beautiful woman is of course the victim, @Wonderlander, Rose Haibara. Also one of the best female characters in any game ever. But I’m getting off track. She was killed with a knife and a girlish laugh of glee was heard, which implies the Murderer of this game to be a young female character. I suppose to know more we will have to ask the witness, a mysterious young girl who watched as the culprit left the scene, who I consider most likely to be a Tracker, someone who is told the target of the person they choose.
So that’s the narrative. Any comments / criticism / alternate interpretations?
Well that certainly lines up with what I already thought was going on, so yay; not to mention I see no reason to doubt you if nobody else claims to be the redirected piece anyways. One question though: who were you redirected towards?
For one, I will claim my role has no stipulation like that if you choose to continue believing me, I personally think it was a witch who did it considering what it said about me not doubting the magic, it could account for why we don’t know anything else about it. As for who I was redirected towards, it was EternalMagician.
That’s cool, I didn’t think that theory was likely to be the case anyways. Even for Rabla, an ability that redirects itself sounds like too much of a troll move to be true.
Im unsure of who that loud little lady is for sure, but Mion could fit, though depending on what other pieces on the board there are there could be others. Any thoughts on that?
Mion sounds plausible, but if we go with Higurashi and loud little lady there’s no one who fits better than Satoko IMO. Of course nobody has claimed Satoko yet so who knows if she’s even in this game.
So it seem my theory turns out to be true so far, I wont ask others to reveal their roles but at least names could be helpful as long as it doesn’t out you as an important role to this. We cant have the butler ending up ousted and being attacked by the black witches who sully the name of white witches, no?
Uh well actually that’s how the witches figured out I was the Protector last game, since there just weren’t any other (plausible) possibilities left since most other people had claimed a role and they’d already checked the rest with their non-killing abilities. So I can’t say I approve of the idea.
Aaaah, sorry sorry, I had some business to attend to in another fragment… Anyhow, seems like @Karifean beat me to actually breaking down the writeup!~
But let’s actually see what descriptions there are, and how many characters acted tonight and compare the numbers:
Little girl - Maria (who was gonna check on a girl who had traveled far)
Older woman
Possible redirection user
Confident Woman
Loud little lady
confident butler
Old woman
Beautiful woman
Individual with a girlish laugh
Mysterious young girl
So 10 out of 12 individuals acted or were interacted with on this night, leaving out two individuals who didn’t do anything. Omoshiroi~
Although I’m surprised that all of you didn’t notice that the killer’s gender was kept being ambiguous, despite having a girlish laugh. And considering what @akafa123 has been saying, I think I also see who that might be… but there’s also a chance they were the ones that didn’t do anything or weren’t targeted this night.
And ho… While typing this, more people talked, but I guess I’ll just post this for now, I need to start making a graph…
