I know that, so I want the humans to be team players. They win if humans win so even if someone dies, they can provide good possibilities and theories that can move us forward. I want to use a more formal interrogation method to get information.
Itās what I would do, to close suspicion loops and to give an aura of doubt around the game.
I hope iām making sense. I may not be the greatest witch, but I consider those methods to be effective in some scenarios. Also keep in mind, I never played Vanilla mafia, and its the first time playing human, so this is a new experience
Well, maybe some of you wonāt believe me being a human lol
Itād be fun if it was that easy.
Heh, funny enough, saying that thereās no real reason to trust you has the reverse effect of making me trust someone, just a little bit.
I mean thatās my attention. I want you to trust me with my transparency, making my actions reasonable or at the very least, understandable for the humans to win. Hopefully I can trust you as well, as I hope you are human.
*intention
Uh having a detective last time proved catastrophic, just a reminder. From my pov Iād be prone to hope this will be easier this time around.
Well I have a migraine but once I feel better the best idea I can think of this time around is to take notes after rereading the thread. Cause you know, 16 people is a lot of people, and thereās like 6-7 of them I donāt know.
First I will retract my vote from EternalMagician because he posted
Change Vote: No Vote
Then wellā¦ I am not that good of a person reader, but it feels like midsummer is talking too much yet still not being very helpful. Giving the impression of an active player without being a helpful one? It isnāt much to go on, but I find him more suspicious than others. Not by a large margin but still
Besides that, I kinda have no strong idea about anybody else. I feel inclined to trust thesorceress because she feels genuine right now. But that could change at anytime.
And Vyse just posted once and went off the radar. Normally he is very thorough. @VyseGolbez any thoughts? Maybe giving an analysis player by player? I suck at doing those. Or maybe should we wait for a few more hours?
Nightkilling a witch? Yeah, uh, I hope the witches take up your advice. xP
I like the point that the witch team usually wants at leats one active witch, but thereās usually more witches hanging back than that, so the likelihood to strike gold is higher there in my opinion. I mean just looking back at last game they werenāt completely at the forefront at least. Also this looks comparable to what Iāve seen Antra do in some previous game where he was human (I think?), so I wonāt hold it against him for now.
Thatās fair, though in your perspective, would you suspect me? Iām going to be an active player and I will do posts that will help humans to the best of my ability, but I am only human and do mistakes. Witches will use it as a way to discredit me and thatās fair game. I just hope that what I can provide will lead to us winning
I was human in all the games so far because RNGesus hates me and doesnāt want me to be evil for once.
Iām trying to be more aggressive and active this game to make up for the passive idiot I was last game.
I felt obliged to contribute fast since I was a bit late in realizing the game had already started. That was the best I could come up with with such short notice. I didnāt feel like trying to copycat those who had come before, as their methods for finding information had already been used, and adding one drop of water to a river probably wouldnāt help that much.
I figured trying to look at what strategy the witches might be using, and asking around to see if people either agreed, had sound alternative suggestions or surprisingly weak and evasive suggestions could be helpful, since nobody seemed to have done that yet.
I think at the moment the witches just have to do their best to seem helpful and hope that nobody decides theyāre evil. If I were a witch right now, well, Iād probably be making this exact comment. Of course, the longer it stretches, the less a witch would be able to get away with that. But on the first day of a vanilla game, it seems like a reasonable thing to do. I feel like most witches would actually be pretty active in these circumstances.
Then again, they arenāt really under too much pressure, so maybe Iām completely wrong and theyāre all people who havenāt been posting. But considering weāve been consistently going after those who arenāt active, I doubt theyād still be playing passively by now.
So, Iām going to be at work for a little bit so I prob wonāt be on the forum for a little bit. But before I go I do want to say this.
Thereās been a few people who have said that they trust or mistrust someone so far. And, given how little information we have, that can only be due to their instincts. I just want to say: trust your instrincts guys. If you think the witches are playing a certain route, if you think someone is shady but you canāt explain why, trust that feeling. You may not be 100% right, but itās better stumbling blindly around.
Which is why Iām keeping my vote right where it is, and I will for the rest of this Day, unless the three people who havenāt talked yet donāt talk for the 24 hr cycle.
While we wait for @Rabla, @Muski, and @Doldod to come and share their thoughts, Iāll just leave this here:
Well ultimately donāt have all that much to say, but Iāll point out what I noticed so far which is just kinda obvious but whatever.
->thesorceress is too good an actress for me to judge on her words alone, I think her behaviour is more telling, and Iāve got almost nothing to work with this time so far. Seems less hesitant/approval seeking than last time. A good sign?
->sleepingpliskin is acting very differently than the last time. Wether thatās because heās human this time around or a witch trying to act very differently to throw us off, I cannot say.
->eternalmagician is still less suspicious than Karifean
->Lots of people I donāt really know so have nothing to really say yet about them. Some people not having yet posted is somewhat depressing.
->Antra, King, Akafa and AMF all jumped pretty rapidly and out of nowhere on blackrune and backed away really rapidly after I mentioned the bait idea. From my pov thatās the only thing really worthy of a lot of mention that happened so far. Iām not sure how much itās meaning anything nor what even triggered that.
->Lots of people voted for a lot of people with not much reason yet (at least form my pov), but I suppose thatās what day 1 is. A bunch of people said a lot of things that didnāt really lead anywhere as well (not that Iām one to comment on this, tho Iāll try to be better this time). Iām trying to seriously think about what the best thing to do on day1 is, and all I can think about is stupid ideas to create reactions which I feel quite honestly should be the meta for day 1. It sounds to me like we need to create events that causes reactions, and then judge people by these reactions?
->Dunno what to think about Vyseās reaction mostly considering they went afk after and I never played anything with him before. Considering heās the only one who wasnāt afraid to reply to my message tho heās ironically very low on my list of suspicious people.
->I thought of attacking whoever would post after whoever replied to my stupid idea and atop of thing Antra outright admitted to be holding back due to it, but I dunno, not feeling it I guess. An unrelated matter but Iād honestly appreciate you changing your discord name tho because it sorta sounds like an attempt to make people underestimate you outside of the thread and I feel thatās borderline rulebreaking, tho I guess thatās in Karifeanās hands. Sorry to bring this up.
->Wonderlander and King both voted for the gamemaster. Good men.
Having no āpiecesā really seems to take the pretext to start a conversation there. I guess I may as well just say hi to @antra and @midsummer because I never talked to either of you in any ways (at least that I can remember) before.
As for voting Iāll at least wait until doldod and rabla posts, assuming they ever do.
I am seeing a lot of words and nothing really being done.
