TIME STAND STILL.
I, Rhythmia vi Rusalka, Maiden of Azure, invoke the creation-level magic skill of Retcon.
In the original ruleset for the gametype, there was another Role in play. However, due to a lack of provided scenarios and materials along with the setup, I had intended to not use it due to it being really unclear about how it actually benefits the game at all.
However, after seeing the initial discussion and some confusion about a lack of risk in certain scenarios, I’ve deliberated with a certain loud Voyager and decided to add it into the gameboard retroactively.
Introducing the “Favoured Heir”
This Player has a unique property where, when chosen as an Execution target, will instead cause the Family Head who tried to execute them to die instead. This ability is One-Time Only.
Upon Activation, certain factors come into play for this Player;
- They are, obviously, publicly revealed as the Favoured Heir. And of course, a Human Player.
- They lose the ability to be elected as the Family Head. They must pay for the crime against the Family they caused.
- And this is the most important; They no longer count towards the Remaining Humans tally, making it one point less for a Witch Victory.
This means a Human Head killing them reduces the count for Majority Victory by two; one for the dead Head, and one for the Heir. It also makes them less of a risk for the Witches to keep around, despite them being a trustable Human opinion.
It is also important to explicity state there is only one of these.
So, that’s why I had taken my time on answering @thesorceress and @pictoshark on the existence of additional roles, because if I added this in any later than now it would just be weird and probably balance-damaging.
This role has, as of this post, already been assigned and sent out to the Player who will play this part. I apologize for any inconvenience.
And so,
