What did you expect from picto?

Thatā€™sā€¦unfortunate.

Im unsure if it is possible for a Witch to be head first round. @Rabla would you mind confirming this for us? If this is the case then we have to consider the possibility that Picto himself is a Witch. If not, well, then its just picto being incompetent and you can assume that we are on the same team. For some reason whenever we are on the same team, Picto manages to fuck everything up.

He said itā€™s possible.

As answered to Karifean

Okay, Okay! So we screwed up this time, but not all victories involve perfect leaps. Weā€™ll have to make up for this blunder in future rounds with a more careful approach. We can still do this!

That being said, is there any discussion that can be done regarding the Alchemistā€™s potential choice for future Head?

So I just had to cool down from that stressful countdown period for a bit with some Tabletop Sim games. My thoughts are still a bit of a mess, as Iā€™m kind of still really happy picto didnā€™t execute me over his silly suspicion, and kind of rolling my eyes at the fact that he completely ignored my whole point about gathering and evaluating information and just killed went ahead and @EternalMagician. While I did not agree with his strategy whatsoever myself, and he was also one of my own more suspected players, I still wouldā€™ve liked to have some more conversation and exchange of opinions before the kill decision was made. Oh well, hopefully weā€™ll have a less trigger happy Head next round.

ā€¦oh god, if the witches decide to kill me on the first night now Iā€™m going to be REAL mad.

Thereā€™s nothing stopping anyone from trying to suggest Family Head candidates, itā€™s just that the Alchemist doesnā€™t have to listen to you if they donā€™t want to.

Have you ever tried TVTropes? Itā€™s quite a good time-waster.

Also, picto asked me this privately in voice chat and told me to answer publicly. How many witches do I think are in this game? Well in my opinion either 2 or 3 are a valid possibility. 1 and 4 would both be ridiculous extremes, while 2 seems a little low and 3 seems a little high, soā€¦ eh? Judging by past games (specifically the first game) Iā€™d guess 2, but it could really go either way IMO.

What do you guys think?

Iā€™ve already voiced my opinion on this. 3.

Thatā€™s the most Crimson like number I can think of, and Azzy here is The Crimsonā€™s apprenticeā€¦

Iā€™ve been thinking two but youā€™re right, it could be three.

If there are 4 witches in this game I am quitting right now I swear.

I think there are 2 witches. The first game had two witches running around but the second and third games had 3 witches. The number of players in this game matches with the first.

If there are 4 then they itā€™s game set right now so I doubt youā€™d really need to quit to be honestā€¦

Also this game is ridiculously stacked against the human side, unless Iā€™ve misunderstood something. Thereā€™s no investigating or powersā€“weā€™re all vanillas except the alchemist and favored heir. I donā€™t think they would put three witches in.

I swear at this point we are just guessing who the witches are. The only times that a witch can be cornered can be traced back to the Favored Heir, unless Iā€™m misunderstanding something. God help us if the Heir gets killed tonight without anyone knowing.

Our strategy this game is faith, trust, and random guesswork.

This is only the case if you limit yourself to objective, provable facts. Hell thatā€™s why Iā€™m so excited to be playing this game - you canā€™t just rely on investigations or abilities, you have to actively analyze to get anywhere. Ripping players out of their comfort zone and carefully examining if their response matches up with what a human would say. Keeping the pressure on people who act suspiciously and try to force their ally or allies to subtly come to their defense. See what psychological cues you can pick up on to figure out whoā€™s thinking what. People arenā€™t perfect actors, far from it, and when put on the spot they often leave traces of their true agenda. Trying to figure that stuff out, to me, is one of the main appeals of these games, and Iā€™m glad this game encourages this kind of play more than regular Mafia does.

Well, Iā€™m glad at least you seem to be having a lot of fun if that counts.
