Rokkenjima Secret Oyashiro I [Finished - Progressive Victory]

That would only happen if a third radical policy were to be implemented. For now, it should be safe for anyone to simply be elected chancellor. If there is a next round, then we would have to be super cautious by then.

Voting Phase

@Yerian@EisenKoubu@Aspirety@Rabla@Pepe@DaBackpack@cjlim2007@Sapphire@Necem

Since our presidential candidate has chosen a chancellor, itā€™s time for everyone to vote.

President: cjlim2007
Chancellor: Rabla

Do you trust these two to represent you and the entire village of Hinamizawa and enact a policy on your behalf? Please PM your votes directly to me.

This is true. The radicals donā€™t win if Oyashiro is chancellor and they enact the third radical policy; three radical policies must already have been played and then Oyashiro must be elected chancellor.

Oh, why ever did you have to remind the radicals of the true rule, Pepe, you should have just have left it wrong like I said it so the radicals would expose Oyashiro this timeā€¦

Though maybe weā€™ll both seem more trustworthy to them cause we were nice enough to help them a little, so maybe they will come to trust us more and we can trick them, especially Oyashiro. But then again, I may be a radical and may be confusing everybody by saying thisā€¦

Anyhow, Iā€™ll take CJā€™s advice and vote no this round, I donā€™t trust neither him nor Rabla.

Ummmmā€¦Uhhhhhā€¦

Iā€™m sorry? T_T

tfw they donā€™t get your plan.

Anyway guys this is HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. I STRONGLY urge you to consider voting NO.

If CJ is an extremist and he gets his extremist policy (which might happen even if he picks a progressive, welp), then he gets to decide on the next president. Which means theyā€™ll be an extremist and likely try to get Oyashiro elected.

There is nothing to gain for a progressive by blindly accepting cjā€™s clearly suspicious nomination.

In the meantime why donā€™t we discuss what Sapphire should do assuming that I do not become president?

You are president though?

I like to talk about the future. Thereā€™s not much to say about me nominating Rabla. Iā€™m trying to step back from trying to argue about why my decision is objectively right (I donā€™t know if itā€™s right or not). If I do become president I will discard whatever radical policy I get. I canā€™t guarantee that Rabla will do the same but I trusted him enough to pick him and hopefully move this game forward.

But I donā€™t trust you enough, so Iā€™m voting against your decision, lest you both be Radicals.

The vote has concluded! Here are the results:

With 3 votes for and 6 against, the vote fails! Looks like there was too much suspicion surrounding this particular government.

Current game status

Radical policies played: 2
Progressive policies played: 4!
Next presidential privilege unlocked by radical policy: Special Candidacy
Previous government: DaBackpack and Yerian
Remaining policies in stock: 9
Failed elections in a row: 1/3

Election Phase

@Sapphire, you are the current presidential candidate, please nominate a chancellor. Do note that DaBackpack and Yerian cannot be nominated as chancellors since they were part of the previous government. Feel free to take your time and discuss the results of the previous government phase with your fellow council members, but once youā€™ve made up your mind regarding a chancellor, please state their name in bold. We will then start the voting.

The first time a vote has failed. Iā€™m glad we avoided a terrible outcome. Iā€™m sorry to suspect you if you are truly progressive, cj, but if so then I hope you understand our caution.

I feel like Sapphire is probably one of the most trustworthy members in this gameboard, so I am going to trust her decision.

Who do you trust the most, Sapphire?

Oh ALSO, itā€™s interesting to note how even some of the extremists were too afraid to support cj and draw suspicion on themselves this round. Well played.

Iā€™m pretty convinced that cj and DaBackPack are among the extremists, butā€¦ Why did you vote YES, @Pepe?

Iā€™m glad we avoided a potentially dangerous situation, well played everybody. The previous government nominees certainly were suspicious, not only Rabla who has been controversial since the beginning, but CJ too who nominated Rabla without stating any clear reason to us or anything. Iā€™m sorry if one of you is a progressive and Iā€™m wrongly judging you but frankly, with the evidence Iā€™ve presented above, itā€™s a bit difficult to think that.

Anyhow, itā€™s my turn now, it seems. Iā€™ll be nominating @Necem as my chancellor, I feel heā€™s been the most trustworthy player thus far and also quite neutral and calm. Of course, I may be proven wrong, but even if thatā€™s the case it may serve as a good opportunity for information gathering.

Also @Aspirety, donā€™t trust me too much, others may think weā€™re both radicals and we know one anotherā€™s positions so thatā€™s why you trust me. Or maybe I am a radical and am exactly saying that so Iā€™ll seem more trustworthy and clever, of course.

You may not have stated it in bold, but Iā€™ll interpret the arrival of a voting PM that this nomination of yours is final. ^^

Thanks for putting your trust in me @Sapphire. I also think that you are quite trustworthy, based on your actions so far. I hope that most of the people see us the same way and that the election phase will go smoothly. It would be an honor to put an end to this game together with you this round. May we lead Hinamizawa into a bright and progressive future.

Haha, I guess publicly placing my faith in someone could have negative implications, huh. Youā€™re one step ahead of me.

Of course nobody is completely clear of suspicion, but having worked with Necem in the past, I fully trust him as a chancellor. Barring the possibility that Iā€™m completely wrong, the only other option is that you receive 3 radical policies, which at this stage in the game is possible. Letā€™s hope it doesnā€™t come to that. But if this really is a progressive+progressive combo, then the extremists will have no choice but to vote no. Thatā€™s why we progressives need to be united on this.

But donā€™t take my word for it guys. Progressives, think for yourselves, and come to the conclusion that you believe is right. I believe in all of you!

Oh no Iā€™m actually very happy about this outcome. I was starting to think you guys would let anyone into the government like all of the other elected governments

Right back at you, Iā€™m sure weā€™ll make the right decision. Letā€™s finish this!

I already said it, didnā€™t I? My personal opinion is leaning towards Rabla being progressive. I donā€™t look at cj with as much suspicion as you do, so with my thoughts, I think the cj-rabla tandem has a higher chance of pushing a progressive policy. But oh well, I guess we never found out whether that is true or not.
