Rokkenjima Secret Oyashiro II [Finished - Radical Victory]

I am not certain I did that correctly above so I’ll make it clear in this post. I am propossing my chancellor is cjlim2007.

Karifean will wake up eventually. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well it WAS 5ish/4ish in the morning when you sent that. At least in his part of the world.

Which was also about when I went to sleep, so yeah ^^;

Voting Phase

@thesorceress @Necem @PocketyHat @Pepe @pictoshark @EisenKoubu @Seraphitic @Aspirety @Wonderlander @cjlim2007

Since our presidential candidates has chosen a chancellor, it’s time for everyone to vote.

President: thesorceress
Chancellor: cjlim2007

Do you trust these two to represent you and the entire village of Hinamizawa and enact a policy on your behalf?

Everyone please send a PM with your vote (YES or NO) to me. This includes you as well, thesorceress and cjlim2007, your votes count just like anyone else’s. You are free to use the “Secret Oyashiro II PMs” private conversation for this purpose.

You are also free to continue discussing in this topic if you feel unsure on how to vote and want to ask the opinions of others, or if you want to convince others to vote a certain way, or even just to do some small talk with the other council members. If you’ve already cast your vote and you want to change it you are free to do so by sending me another PM, but once I’ve received all of your votes I will reveal them and obviously by then it’s too late to change your vote.

You have 24 hours from now to get your votes in. But to avoid issues like this where I happen to be asleep, from the next election onwards, the voting and time limit will start the moment the president nominates a chancellor. No need to wait for me to make a post like this, you can send your votes my way as soon as the president nominates someone.

And yes, @thesorceress, it’s perfectly fine if you @ your nomination ^^ So long as I can tell it’s your nomination, it’s fine.

Quick Rules Review: If an absolute majority (>50%) votes YES, the vote succeeds and the president and chancellor get to enact a policy. If 50% or more vote NO, the vote fails and the next candidate in line (Necem in this case) gets to choose a chancellor. If three votes fail in a row, a random policy from the stock is simply enacted without question. The stock currently consists of 11 radical policies and 6 progressive policies.

I’m voting yes. No reason to say no this early in the game, and chances are very high of a progressive policy going through.

Cool. Sorry I wasn’t certain and I didn’t want to get it wrong.

I agree that it is too early to tell who could be the radicals in our den of politics, so I think it’s safe to take a leap of faith here. I’m voting YES for this government.

Rushes in with toast in mouth

Hello, hi, good morning. Sorry I’m late.

Stands awkwardly as people have frozen with their hands raised as they vote

Oh… uuuuh…

Raises hand too

I vote… yes…?

Hello everybody in Hinamizawa. 'Tis I, your favorite flailing theorist. I’m very excited to be here with all of you and I very much look forward to hunting down those lowlifes who would endanger the future of the town. I’m voting yes to the election of @thesorceress and @cjlim2007. I look forward to what their leadership will bring. Now, time to fix up some tea…

Me, myself and I will vote for yes this time!
"But Pockety-sama! You don’t know if any of these people are trustworthy!!"
True, but I don’t know who aren’t trustworthy! So I will give myself some blind shot and see how this turns out! But I would already believe that the suspicious people won’t show up just yet unless we get a radical law in place! And I do get mighty mad when someone forces a radical law upon me.
"Yeah! Radical policies suck! And I agree with @thesorceress about how to choose the chancellors!"
Thank you for great words of wisdom me.
And can we get the insane @pictoshark under check? The man acts like he has met me before! Humph, why, I haven’t met such peasant. I can see that you are smart, but please for the sake of me and I guess the other people of the village, don’t call us meatdolls! It’s very rude for us and for yourself! And for all the lolis of this village!
"Yeah! Have some respect for yourself!"
Hmph, Anyway, now to wait the waiting game!

Kuhuhuhuhu

Do you seriously think these country bumpkins will have any ACTUAL tea?

Kuhuhuhuhu, You’re a real funny one!

So anyway, voting yes because we need information is standard procedure when a council hasn’t passed many radical policies yet.

Greetings @Seraphitic! We now have the entire town together. How wonderful.

I am voting yes, of course. Consistency of choices and standing by your own decisions is the hallmark of a good leader.

I’m not sure why you’re saying that you’re voting yes. Usually you would just pm it and wait until everyone is done so that Karifean reveals the votes. Oh well, doesn’t matter really.

The first government was unanimously accepted! Wow, now what could possibly go wrong?

Government Phase

Our new government has once again the obligation of leading Hinamizawa. Let us pray that their choice is in the best interest of the entire village.

thesorceress and cjlim2007, you two may not post in this topic until the government phase has concluded.

Dear President and Chancellor. Remember. Enacting a progressive policy is the right thing to do.

Gather round, members of the council! The government has made their choice, a new policy has been enacted!

“Secret underground finger mutilation practices are hereby forbidden.”

Of course this is a progressive policy. The fact that this policy was not in place until now shows just how far Hinamizawa already is in the clutches of Oyashiro-sama…

Election Phase

@Necem, you are the current presidential candidate, please nominate a chancellor. Do note that thesorceress and cjlim2007 cannot be nominated as chancellors since they were part of the previous government. Feel free to take your time and discuss the results of the previous government phase with your fellow council members, but once you’ve made up your mind regarding a chancellor, please state their name in bold. We will then start the voting. You have 24 hours to choose someone.

Remember, as soon as Necem nominates a chancellor, the voting begins and with it the 24 hour time limit. It looks to be likely that I might be asleep when it happens, so go ahead and vote in the meantime~

Good show, you two.

Now that it’s Necem’s turn, it’s time to put things into perspective. While Necem proved to be trustworthy during the last game, unfortunately it’s unclear if his allegiance is the same here. I want to believe he is a progressive, but only what happens during this presidency will give us any clue as to where he and his chancellor’s loyalties truly lie.

I wish you good luck, @Necem. You will need it. o/

It’s been two whole hours and the president and chancellor haven’t revealed what options the had to discard and what they discarded.

@thesorceress! @cjlim2007! Dig the wax out of your meat tubes, listen up and follow this one:

All presidents and chancellors should reveal what they drew and what they discarded. It is possible to lie doing this, but it will only help the radicals

Remember, us Liberals want information!

IN. FOR. MAY. SHUN.

To increase the chances of catching liars The chancellor should speak first on this matter.

Alright. That’s fine I have no objections.

Should I wait for the chancellor to talk then? I could tell you what I gave them right now, but I can wait for them to say what they got.

I’d wait. When the president speaks it becomes self evident what the chancellor (allegedly) did so waiting for them first is important.

I got two progressive policies.
