Recollection of a Mafia game [GAME OVER - Lovers' Victory]

Interesting reasoning. Whilst I don’t see any reason, well at least from my human perspective, for the witches to make me look suspicious, it is definitely something to keep in mind and something that they may do now that I’ve revealed my connection to Doldod. Though before I did that, I can’t think of any reason why they’d want to make me in particular look suspicious.

Also, I’m a she, if you were confused.
This is not a very reasonable argument but which would you rather lose against, considering that risk is always there?

An active witch that outsmarted you
or
A passive witch that sit and eat popcorn while watching us gut each other due to being suspicious for the things we say including accusations and stuff
Eh, losing to both is bad in its own way, I suppose. But what I was thinking is that the passive witch/witches is trying to fit in with some of our most passive players, and maybe cast some suspicion on them, confusing us others more during all of it. I think we give the passive players a chance to speak up more, then we can analyse their behaviour better and start making accusations from there…

Well actually even tho I wrote this I may be on the verge of attempting a certain gamble. I will say tho that I’ve been in a certain situation that some people will remember there where the single most passive person who never said anything ended up being trusted by everyone and we lost the game as a result.

Then they claimed “easiest game ever” in a very smug way.

Still I’m heading toward the bigger problems for now.

Morning everybody.

Side note away from my main point: @UsagiTenpura, what’s your bigger problems thoughts?

Alright so, I mostly wanted Quixote and Eternalmagican to talk before I did anything, because those two and SleepingPliskin have been the quietest this game. @EternalMagician, saying I’m quiet and I understand that makes me look shady isn’t a good defense.

We’re a day in and we have only one vote on the board my guys. We really have to start voting for somebody. The only vote on the board right now is Kari for Eternalmagican and that’s all we have right now.

Actually, Kari did that immediately, the moment after nighttime happens.

Correct me if I’m wrong @Karifean, but if I’m following your lead right this is the best move.

Vote: EternalMagician

Please, actually correct me if I’m wrong. If I’m reading some signs off, or this was just a random vote, tell me and I’ll switch things up.

Well, may as well go for it I guess…

When taking into consideration the current situation, it kinda is bad.
I really hate myself for dealing the finishing blow on King right now.

But, the sake of fairness, really? I mean several of us here are playing the game for the first time or playing a game on rokkenjima for the first time, and we basically ended up starting with a situation that more or less ends up being a minus of two on the human side before we seriously attempt to reason out anyone else.

Now Sapphire and Doldod have revealed their things, and should we accidentally kill another human during the day, and one of the two dies during the night, we’re going to have a human body count of 5.

Of course we don’t know how many witches there is, but that pushes me in a situation where I’m willing to make a gamble and call it quit (or “gg” if you want) should it fail.

That gamble is not particularly reasonable all things considered, but it obviously revolves around Karifean.

Because one way or another, his allegiance determines a whole lot about what direction the game happened so far. The only serious thing I can truly say is that Karifean will normally “play to win” and by his own admission, I’m not really sure that going after King while suspecting EternalMagician, Quixote and Sapphire makes much sense. We also by now know that Sapphire and Doldod are on the same side, so Karifean can’t be right about everything

I’m willing to try to change this vote if more things and anyway I have absolutely no talent at convincing people. So I’m sure this will be used to turn everyone against me and gut me. But whatever. Really hope that if I play such a game again, a situation like the King one won’t occur right from the start again. As a new player, I have to say this really sucks.

Oh and considering the whole situation of George/Shannon being on the same side and Rosa/Maria as well (even if not bound in the same way) I’m willing to dwelve into the stupid idea that Vyse has put us up in a “without love it cannot be seen” shenanigan and thus I shouldn’t be going after my wife or son.

Vote: Karifean

Now to watch the bloodbath against me begin.

I’m like…65% convinced that Karifean is the detective. So this situation would be /bad/. I’m not convinced though it’s an interesting concept, especially since he’s been so quiet this game.

@Karifean, any time you want to respond to…anything, would be seriously great.

Also, other people? Thoughts?

Oh hey, would you look at that.

I play to win, yes. But I simply would not be content using King’s breach of the rules to my advantage. That’s pretty much all there is to it, really.

Btw @thesorceress in response to your earlier call, I’d been thinking akafa was probably chosen simply because they were unlikely to be protected from the start (it’s how I usually choose my targets as witch), I’d hoped to draw in some Mafia tells by having them state their “ideas” though. Best I got out of it was @Quixote and @SleepingPliskin’s responses which made me a lot more wary of both of them. Of course there’s picto as well, but given the situation it’s hard to distrust him.

I’m sticking with Eternal as my vote target though.

Unannounced this time~

I actually didn’t intend it as a defence, it was just something I wanted to acknowledge as I was pretty sure at least someone was going to point it out.
Because, as it is, I can’t come up with anything to defend myself with. I made a honest screwup in the beginning of the game and didn’t notice the trap that Karifean had made which made him suspect me.

Other than that I have pretty much nothing to say except that to say that I’m a human and not a witch so do whatever you want with me.

So, after some deliberation, I’m stating who I’ll be voting to be lynched on the second day.

I’ll go with @Quixote. Usagi and the others are right, one of the passive witches might truly be eating popcorn and laughing at us while we gut one another and we’re not doing anything about it. Quixote has probably been one of the most passive players, and when he talks his thoughts are too vague and he doesn’t say anything of much importance, mostly agreeing with other people’s viewpoints. Now, while that may be just somebody who is confused about what’s really going on, it can very easily be somebody who is a witch that can’t lie well and can’t confidently pose as a human, thus these weak responses and vague reasoning. If you just check his last post, it can be seen that he was eager to go along with Pliskin’s thoughts on why the witches killed Akafa on the first night.

Aside from him, I am still suspicious of Karifean, and am not at the same time, so I want him to be in the game longer to see where his loyalties are.

Vote: Quixote

No it’s totally not hard at all, what’s hard is to move against him.

And you’ll have to excuse me as I never played a game directly with you, but your gaming personality sounds so plastic to me that it’s really not helping to trust you at all. Granted, you may be that way whichever side you play (others may comment better about that) but I’ll make do with what I have.

Beside, there’s no point in worrying, there’s like a 50% chances Eternal dies cause sheeplings and another 50% chances no conclusion is reached and the next person to die is at random.

Still, I’m not going to bulge from this position if no one says anything better. I still think you’re far more suspicious than EternalMagician if I’m comparing the two of you.

Quixote, I dunno, I will have to think on that one.

Just for references, this is what I mean, but I could also add that pictoshark denies himself that King saw anything. He may have not seen the right thing, all he really saw is blue supposedly.

I’m not saying pictoshark is suspicious btw, but I’m just reminding that we can’t entirely disregard it.

Eh, I’m sure you’ll come around on me in time.

For the time being, Quixote is also my second major suspicion so if you guys would rather vote for him than EternalMagician I’m fine with that as well.

Vote: Quixote

That switch was uncharacteristically fast.

Add it to the notes I guess…

Don’t know about that switch. Puts Karifean in a bit of a sketchy spot when before I was kind of on-board with thesorceress’ reasoning on that one. Now it looks a bit too much like ‘vote and wait’ for my tastes. Not quite onboard with lynching him yet though.

…Hopefully we can afford another mistake, but if the lovers are legitimate I doubt the witches would have a separate double kill, and there would certainly not be 4 witches.

Regarding the current leader in votes, personally Eternalmagician is higher on my suspect list.
But Quixote isn’t very far from the bottom so I’d still take it over random. So basically same thing as last time, I’ll switch later if we end up one step away from majority somewhere or new information is brought forward.

Vote: Eternalmagician

As a spectator, can I request a tally of votes? I’m getting confused.

Oh I’d still be perfectly fine with an EternalMagician lynch, but Quixote’s been tripping my wires for a while now. To put it another way, one is the ‘safer’ lynch, the other the one that gives more information.

Friendly reminder that there’s only 11 hours left.

Well this has become quite the boring/inactive game.
Sorry it turns out that way Vyse.
