Did we seriously just lose our Detective this early in the game
If that is the case then Iām so sorry everyone
Hahā¦ it seems weāre all prone to mistakes today.
As EternalMagician has already taken some steps to deal with the issue, Iām going to let this slide. Since a lot of people are still learning I planned to have some leniency for a few issues. So this one will be fine, Iāll deal with this with the people involved.
However, Iāll end the leniency here
If more issues like this come up from this point forward, the people in question will be removed from the Game.
Please familiarize yourself with all the rules and make sure to play smart and careful.
For a second there I was wondering if this was some sort of elaborate brilliant setup, like āoops I broke a rule here Iām the detective donāt kill me plzā but Iām gonna assume getting the Game Master play along with your ruse is out of the question =P So Iām willing to take EternalMagician at his word.
And of course if his rule breaking was sending a PM, as long as he trusted his co-conspirator Iām pretty sure there was a literal zero chance of him getting caught.
I can confirm that I was the one he PMād and all of the information present in the PM has now been posted here by him
I would use the red, but I like not breaking the rules, as indicated by my insistence for him to come forward.
HOWEVER
#Remain Skeptical
Just because our most repugnant host is backing him that means absolutely nothing.
Just because he PMed me this information before hand, that means absolutely nothing.
Just because he made an honest mistake, that means absolutely nothing.
Letās entertain a situation shall we? While the immediately apparent situation is far more likely than the one I am about to present, it should be considered anyway.
Time for some little blue berries:
@EternalMagician is a witch, who mistakenly believed that Humans are also allowed to PM each other.
In fact, if we suppose he is a witch, this blunder seems far more likely to be a genuine mistake, no?
Assuming my above blue is correct, let me add to it:
He assumed I was telling the truth about being a Switcher (having been convinced by my argument in previous posts) and read our theorizing about how Iād been investigated by the Detective. He planned to gain my trust, and get me to perform a switch for him, having me inadvertedly screw up the real Detectives investigative attempts to find out a high profile witch.
Unfortunately, it seems impossible to uncover the deception without revealing the true detectiveās identity, which is NOT a price worth paying.
Right?
Kuhuhuhuhu.
To set the mood for my roleplaying self, he included the following section in his PM to me:
"My name is Hideyoshi Ushiromiya, Human Aligned Business Pro and Iām the Detective of this game.
Pleased to contact you my son, if your piece truly is my son George Ushiromiya."
Youāll just have to trust me on the text dump, I canāt use the quote feature for PMs by game rules, even PMs like this one, whose information should be public by now.
If my (less than likely) theory is correct, then I would say that this detail is likely fabricated, itās too good a coincidence to be true.
It seems the Witch groups are often pieces that are close to one another, and I think it possible that Rabla would have included 3 witches in this game (to ramp up the difficulty), and I doubt the old geezer would break his precious narrative by having unrelated persons allying with each other.
Therefore, if there are three Witches, and George Ushiromiya is not a witch, then Hideyoshi Ushiromiya is likely not a witch as well.
Therefore, if @EternalMagician is not a witch, it is likely he is not really Hideyoshi Ushiromiya, and if we got the luck of the draw rightā¦ If there is a REAL Hideyoshi Ushiromiya among us thenā¦
ALL AT THE TABLE! OPEN YOUR EARS, AND LISTEN CAREFULLY,
@Karifean @Aspirety @cjlim2007 @Necem @RegNewmont @Pepe @SuperM @PocketyHat @thesorceress @Wonderlander @EternalMagician
If there is a Hideyoshi Ushiromiya amongst us who is not @EternalMagician please make a roleclaim, and expose this poorly thought out, half sabotaged plan, giving us our first Witch exposal!
Well I didnāt feel the need to point this out, it would be an obvious move for any Hideyoshi (or Battler, or Switcher, or Detective, for that matter) to do. But yeah, if youāre being impersonated, donāt just keep quiet about it =P
Thank you for your kind welcome, Lord Battler. As you say so I shall do.
I am
Alice, Another World Aligned Bored Maiden
I hope that this works.
Also, regarding EternalMagician, I am inclinded to believe what they say. This is a rather elaborite lie to tell if it is a lie and not one I would risk if it was me.
ā¦I do not know why that will not quote like everyone elseās.
Mhā¦ I feel like a lot of people have been exposed todayā¦ although it doesnāt seem to be a necessarily bad thing, since I feel like the witch team would probably be a little confused on their next stepā¦ subarashii subarashii!~
This seems to be a very active day today!
@pictoshark the switcher
@EternalMagician the detective
@Aspirety the vanilla flavored edition
@thesorceress from another world
And thereās the possibility that we might know of @Pepe and @Wonderlanderās meatdolls!
Butā¦ hm, seems to be too much of a coincidence for a lot of these to be revealed today, no? Unless Iām overthinking, which is honestly a big flaw that I seem to carry on me~
So letās turn the chessboard around for a moment, okay?
if @EternalMagician were to be lying, it could be possible that @pictoshark might be lying as well, since he did sort of admit that he was contacted by Eternal through PM, hell, maybe they are both witches and are conspiring together to sacrifice one of them so that the other one could get away free and to gain our trust. But I feel like this would be a very desperate move to make during the beginning, so I donāt feel that itās likely. Please someone tell me if Iām wrong.
If @Aspirety was lying, it would seem to be just as a way of ignoring him, since he claims to be vanilla, so no one would pay mind to his actions all that much. I canāt seem to word this correctly, which is another flaw that I have, so please forgive me if Iāve not explained myself properly.
And finally, if @thesorceress was lyingā¦ well, same as above, but I feel like this is highly unlikely, since they already managed to provide a quote from the GM themselves.
But somewhere in my heart, I believe that what I said would not be true at allā¦
ā¦Not out of sentimentalism, but just because I donāt know how to fake a quote
So Iāll believe all of you until I get proof that it is possible to fake quotes.
Also, I just wondered something, did the witches use RNG to kill @cjlim2007? Because if they did, wow, they hit a target of information that spilled itās guts all over the floor.
Butā¦ I donāt know, considering they targeted specifically someone who wasnāt in the whole mess on the first paragraph, so, someone unrelated to @pictoshark, @Pepe, @Wonderlander and @EternalMagician, something justā¦ makes me squinty about the choice, honestly. What do you guys think?
I donāt know. Taking out cjlim2007 took out our team, but I donāt think our team was much of a threat honestly. I thought it might be the person who voted for them earlier in Daylight, but Iām not certain in any way.
I personally donāt think any of these people are lying about their pieces, but maybe Iām just uninformed that way.
Remember, everything we know about the alleged privileges and goals of the pink team is from a supposed member of the team themselves. They could be lying. Maybe the witches have to kill at least one pink to win? Maybe @thesorceress is lying, and is a witch? Maybe there is only one pink?
Welp, guess we know who to use the Detectiveās ability on, right?
On the topic of faking quotes, https://www.dropbox.com/s/c1kc00jsydc370e/2016-11-06%2015-33-58.flv?dl=0 .
If the witches did have to kill one of my team to win, us otherworlders were put at a horrifying disadvantage very early on in the game.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find the witches? I am very much open to figuring out what we should do in Daylight this time.
Maybe the pink was a sacrificial lamb? A clue to get the ball rolling? Maybe pink didnāt read their role PM well enough, didnāt realise the danger they were in. Iām just spitballing here.
Hoy, old man! Whatās the purpose behind this rule:
Do not quote anything from another member or the Game Masterās private Messages to you in-thread without their permission, with the exception of your character name and alignment.
Cause it seems Kiiiiiiinda pointless with how easy it is to fake quotes.
Were you worried that your killer prose would make it to easy to tell the reals apart from the fakes?
Explain @Rabla. You babbling multi millennia old fool.
Alrighty, thank you for the info, then Iāll be still suspicious of the people Iāve listed. Besides, I donāt think it was stated in the rules that people couldnāt forge quotes.
(Also, on a side note, how dare you make me say I hate black people )
And I think the detective should make their own judgement for who to use the ability on, no? It would be more useful to use it on people who we donāt know that much about.
On a side note
We shouldnāt forget that we can vote and kill someone suspicious in the daylight. I almost forgot, to be honest, hohoh.
While it was excusable to vote for no death yesterday, I think thereās no excuse for today, since we have a lot of information to go by right now. Vague information, but still information nonetheless. But of course we donāt need to go hasty, and after a long discussion we might even decide to not lynch anyone today as well.
We shall see.
Sorry guys, a bit late to the party. And ouch @pictoshark, seemingly less useful newbie? While that is probably true it still hurt
Okay first of all, dear @thesorceress , can you state your exact win conditions? Just staying alive with both pinks? Can you clear your conditions?
As for my role, I think I should reveal it:
I am unfortunately also Vanilla like @Aspirety here. Me being the young girl means @Pepe is the servant with the role. I wonder what his role is. @Pepe, any input so far?
As for the whole @EternalMagician and @pictoshark debacle, while you guys are right and they can be both human. It is entirely possible that they both are witches. Or at least, that @EternalMagician is. It is extremely suspicious that the person that was targeted was completely unrelated to the switcher debacle as @PocketyHat pointed out. He doesnāt have to fake his being Hideyoshi, just his alignment. The killer was an older man as well.
But while the above outcome IS quite possible, compared to the other outcome that he is telling the truth, it is very unlikely. We do know that @pictoshark was visited by an older man who asked him questions. If anybody else has the Detective role, we do know that there is a protector, so the detective could reveal themselves without any setbacks I suppose. But that is a risk the detective will have to take.
It doesnāt sound like we have a roleblocker this time around, so we have to figure out what is the other witch role. But maybe they could have been silent as to not draw attention. I just find it very odd that @pictoshark decided to switch somebody on the first day, even though he said the people he switched AND he revealed his role.
I find it odd that @SuperM has still been silent. I wonder what is up with that.
As for @Karifean, I think he is innocent, simply because he didnāt have to share his deductions with us. Yet he did. Any suspicions on anyone @Karifean? You are a smart guy. We could use your help.
@Necem? I do love your deductions as well, any input? Yours too @Aspirety. And @RegNewmont? What do you have to think?
It seems the color did not transfer from my role PM to here. I wonder why that is. O.o

The witches were more likely to have cohesive plan that night than us, due to their PM privileges, so a random switch was more likely to bork up their plans than to bork up ours, because, letās be level here, we didnāt really have a plan.
the " " quote reply" function doesnāt copy formatting, just the raw text. I added the formatting back in to my quote manually to make it look prettier.
You posted a whole lot, (more posts than Pepe for crying out loud!) without really saying a whole lot. Thatās what led me to the less useful conclusion.
And I forgot to say but, Thank you Protector. For coming to protect me, even though you wound up finding @Pepe instead. It is okay, I still love you.
