"My PM informed me they knew of my team’s existence (but not our identities) from the get-go.
And honestly, even if it wasn’t for that I’d have probably done that anyway because it makes the game much more interesting this way~."

Hmmm interesting calculations of balance.
Let’s just take the theoretical scenario.
14 players, 2 witches, both have nightkills. Goes on after death into a random roulette thus probably more likely to target a human.
12 Humans, 2 Witches
Human victory conditions : 2 proper lynches
Witch victory conditions : 3 mis lynches
(leaving aside the improbable setup where the killing ends up targeting the other witch at random)
It’s a pretty brutal setup, especially if we have no detective. But if both are killers, then having only a tracker instead makes sense as it essentially ends up giving the same result. In that sense it could even be suggested that the existence of a tracker but no detective is a hint toward this scenario.
Of course it’s possible that one of the three dead humans were that detective heh.
I think the best way to evaluate wether this makes sense or not right now is to compare the balance of this setup with that of another scenario we can have here.
Wether that is pictoshark and partner being a true “third party” and being hostile to both, or pictoshark and partner actually being humans, and … how many witches would be then be fighting?
Kinda a hint there to you picto even, but that’d be a more solid ground to convince me than insisting on the risk it is to kill you. Yeah of course it’s a risk, but it was also a risk to lynch Doldod/Sapphire, one we should’ve taken the moment they revealed their bold claim.
Take my actions if you wish as the result of the meta created by that game, in which you were a player yourself.
“Actually, I mainly wanna get Picto lynched because they’re so insistent they’re too important to lynch.”
The cat snorts.
“It’d be pretty funny, and if they are a witch, doubly so!”
Don’t snort on my head
“Wh-Whoops!”
The cat sheepishly mews.
“My bad.”
Lick it now, lick it good, lick my head just like you should…
“Th-THAT’S LEWD!!!”
“…By the way. Funny story.”
The cat takes out a piece of mail, reads it and then puts it back.
"I just realised that because I know nothing about FF8 I totally misunderstood a term in my role and have been acting this way for no reason at all. Whoops~!
Well, it’s not like I’m gonna stop, I guess. I’m having a greatly amusing time."
I wonder where did you put that mail
“Uh… Well… We cats have our secrets, ya know?”
Don’t hide any secrets from me, we are partners after all
“No, this… This is my secret to bear forever and eternity. It’s really not worth questioning, anyway.”
That’s so cruel, why would you hide something from me, I’m almost crying, why you have to do this to me!!!
“Because we are in polite company, silly.”
Are you flirting with me
“I don’t know. Am I?”
…
“No, seriously. I have no idea what I’m doing.”
Let’s become a couple and runaway from this cruel place!
That would be kind of clever with picto claiming right away to throw us off-track hard, but I don’t think that’s happening here.
My logic for that is based mostly on colors. You kind of have to wonder why we’re green in the first place, and well, picto mentioned being Azure aligned so I’m guessing it’s because they’re the blue ones. Which would leave the usual red for the real/other witches.
I mean I guess there’s the chance the GM just made the witches blue on a whim, but really, “the Crimson” forgoing the use of red?
"A nice idea, Rune. But I have a question for you. If colours are so important…
Why don’t you marry them?"
"No, but in all actuality, if you’re referring to the colour of our role names… Why is it when Picto revealed their role they made their name bold and green? In comparison, Akafa wrote theres in blue. Doesn’t that make Akafa the third party and Picto a human. But a human that kills… Whadda we call that… Oh yeah, a murderer. Just like the witch we’re trying to catch. It’s not too hard to change colors when talking and all, either…
But, hey. Do you suppose Akafa is the secret second azure person?"
The cat pauses.
"If you are, Akafa, we’re gonna have to postpone that eloping plan so I can work out whether you’re on the side of stabby mc armor boy or something.
…Also,it’s not like I’m agreeing to that runaway idea in the first place!"
"Just to be clear, if Picto changed there’s to green to make them seem human-aligned, non-third party… Then why reveal their whole azure knight deal. Makes more sense that they’re hiding a DIFFERENT colour under that coat of paint…
Like red…
'Course, I’m not trying to say that. I’m not implying anything at all. It’s all really none of my business, and I’m not saying anything either way~!"
The cat laughs.
